But anyways,
So saturday night me and a few friends decided to go to a party and say we were staying the night at each others houses..
Well in the morning my best friend let his girl drive his car because he was to drunk to drive.
Next thing you know I am getting a phone call( I am with my other friend atm going to mcdonalds where we were going to meet)
Well anyways the phone call was that they had gotten in a car wreck and of course I am freaking out.
But he and she are ok. but the car was totaled and he got breathalized and the cops found alcohol in his car.
So his mom ends up calling all of our parents.
So now we are all in trouble and grounded for life
I can only drive to football practice.
Luckily I still have my xbox phone and computer.
This sucks
I can't see any of my friends except for at football.
Then more to come, we go to football yesterday and our coaches already know about the incident.
We are the leaders/ captains of the team all 3 of us. We are also seniors who are suppose to be setting an example for the younger players.
We had a long talk with the coach as well and we are still on the team so I guess that's good. The most important is that no one got injured in the accident and all are ok, being grounded goes over again.
Cars can be repaired or new ones bought, but one cant buy a new life if things had gone worse
Nevertheless, this should be a lesson for all of you to be more careful next time and rather walk home or get a taxi.
( if you have to drink that much )
It happens too often in situations like this that really tragic things happen because people overestimate their capacity to drive in this condition.
They think they can, but they cant. Alcohol ruins your senses and you loose fear and respect of the speed and the street.
Very often people who did not even drink anything themselves get involved because they are in the car themselves or in the other car that gets hit...
I get extremely pissed to see innocent people getting killed of a careless driver who didnt bother and drove a car in such a condition.
You can drink and have fun of course, but everyone has a responsibility for himself + the others.
If you see your friend too drunk, offer to drive yourself if you didnt drink anything or get a taxi/walk otherwise.
Just dont let him drive. get him by the hand and sit him in the taxi yourself if you have to. you can save lifes this way.
never just get in the car anyway and stay silent. it may work ok sometimes, but its a ticking bomb and you risk your own life and the life of others.
