That is also a great idea... this will give people the option to choose their own paths more selectively...
Example:... let us say... they want to use the "Sage"... only way to do that... is by going "Mage"
and passing... now you have a Caster... that uses Plate Mail... (no heals... but I can see this working)

Then as a Sage... they pass and decide to unlock hidden character... they get the choice of:
Samurai or Ronin



Ahh... but with the introduction of my other suggestion... this can still work...
Sword Specialist (at headhunter... choose either Alchy or Wpn Specialist)

E: on the second one pure dex only if you going to use a low dmg weapon.. so crits won't do really much any dmg.. but youd still be hitting to get the point in a proficency
