I am up ~7:30-8:00 every day that I have to work... which is just about every damn day. Sundays I may sleep in until 9-9:30

Magicians are expensive because they are great solo characters and decent cata chars as well.

If you really want to go Mage, I would focus on getting a decent set of heal mastery gear and heal charms and then you would be appreciated all the way up in catacombs. That way, you can just heal for a few climbs to build up stat points and hopefully get a good drop or two

then once you can afford attack charms and int gear you can start casting solo or whatever.
That way, if you pass to samurai all you'd have to do is buy a couple pieces of heavy healing gear (like a scale and a sword) and then you would be set to heal until monk or ninja or whatever.

Just my 2 cents

yeah you could GET by but im talkign about being useful without running oom all the time and abrely hitting AOE's then being useless not even able to heal till you lvl
in all honesty if you dont have a 10+ prof and nice gear you wont be that useful.
melee is by far the best starter route imo or a decent hm healer

i finished my mage and he still sucks in cata's 55-71

49 int 7 block lvl 50 dagger
44 int mpk lvl 55 robe
156 ee lvl 55 earth
140 ee lvl 55 heal

with 4 prof

so i think that you need atleast 15+ prof if your gear isnt that good to do well in cata's

if you have gg gear then 10+ prof will be acceptable though

just my 2 cents

iv been in hospital recently guys, just got out last night.

turns out iv got stress related stomach ulcers lol... what a fun week its been for me! also i finished yet again with janey within a week of us agreeing to getting married... just about to buy the ring too lol

but instead i just ordered myself a new xbox 360 elite out of it

will be here by friday! got red dead redemption with it and the wireless entertainment pack and all the extras etc etc! but will be here soon so ill actually have something decent to do lol...

have to get myself some games too, atleast it will stop me fucking about and feeling shit that i dont get to see emily as much anymore

No offense bro, but that bitch is poison. Learn your lesson! By all means be a good father but that does not mean you need to have any type of relationship with her. Sorry to hear about the ulcers, I too have been plagued by stomach problems my whole life so I can relate to that. Stress does NOT HELP at all!

Candiman you should stick to melée and keep your swords
then you have gear all the way up to monk and you can solo on melée I do it all the time
soloin on caster isent as easy as you would think. Some1 in my guild has a 40-50 intel weapon and robe a 150ee mq charm and a 220ee heal and he can still only get a chain of 5-10
so imo stick to melée it will be worth it in the long run
that's just my opinion
