In some ways I wish I was closer to the coast, its a 3 to 4 hour drive depending where you go, BUT I am far enough away the hurricanes are just huge thunder storms when they hit.

That's the worst part about being in Michigan. Living in Seminole, Fla spoiled the shit out of me. The Gulf was out my back door.
I miss the beach so much. I did like visiting Lake Michigan. It's just not the same as smelling the salt water at low tide
