Not sure... Really not that interested in volcano's.. However, the ash was in reykjavik yesterday and it is heading towards Great Britain, so we will see..
a couple of flights from/to netherlands & ger r cancelled...
the eruption is "only" 10km high now
On 23 May, the eruption was releasing about 2000 tons of ash per second, totalling 120 million tons in the first 48 hours.
The 2011 eruption of Grímsvötn thus qualified as 4 (VEI4) on the Volcanic Explosivity Index (VEI), releasing more ash in the first 48 hours than Eyjafjallajökull released during its entire 2010 eruption.i guess svenni will be getting a boatride soon ^

yeah ive read today that most of GB´s northern airports are closed, airports in denmark and norway also, but so far only 1 airport in sweden

edit: i hope this shit clears before im gooing to the USA, or im gonna be pissed

it's only a few layers of clouds that's a no-go... i'd hope they've improved their models even better so they know where it's ok to go
With the Eyjafjallajökull only a tiny fraction of the cancelled flights actually needed cancelling if they used those models from the start, but they were not prepared and it was just being used by some research group.
I guess a couple of dozen of billions of $ is not worth the troubles getting this & airtraffic together ^
