Oh so you found time for learning in the middle of so many things in you life! That's great, best time spent in life is learning in my opinion
And that is an interesting language as I heard, i dont know much about it, just one word here and there but not enough to be fluent Maybe you could teach me some stuff in pms! hahah! (if you dont disappear again ofc ).

I thought all Brasilians knew at least pacquito espanol? Donno I've just picked up some stuff at work. I don't know how to write in Spanish because it's all stuff I hear.

What % of Brasilians speak Spanish? I'm curious. I actually would've assumed that maybe 60% knew Spanish as a 2nd/3rd language.

If you want to see ignorant, you should see my workmates. They're otherwise decent enough folks but they don't really engage with Spanish people who come in, and that's why I know more Spanish than anyone else there (except a woman whose 1st language is Spanish). I don't know much but it's enough to make people see that someone is listening and paying attention.

no, at school the only language we learn nowadays besides portuguese (since the last 3 or 4 decades i think) is english and not too much, just to have some functional english you know, not to be fluent also, for this we have other more specific languages schools. Before that we used to have only latin and french (in my parents time ). But no spanish at all; if one wants to learn it here, one must take a more specific course (what wasnt my case, i took some courses on german and french but never finished them! but i luuuuuv these languages, my favorites for sure!) .
