Just curious, what happened to the mystery of the MQ? What I mean is, it used to be considered kind of taboo to talk about the MQ itself, how it works, etc. in the Ladder Slasher forum. They used to try not to spoil it for newcomers. (pink unicorn) It was tradition. Seems like every day people post their fail / pass event logs in the Ladder Slasher forum. Has that etiquette gone to the wayside?

I'll always remember my first MQ / fail and that WTH moment of disappointment, after I spent about 2 weeks grinding to 71.

it seems like those days are long gone. We got a whole new crowd of slashers, and with them, a whole new lack of mystery. I'm soooo glad I didn't know what was going to happen when I did my first MQ. I was freaking out about it before I finally decided to do it.

Actually, you know what's even funnier... I knew so little about the MQ my first climb, that I was selling all my equipment as I was levelling up, so my second climb was no quicker.

If I had known what was in store beforehand, I don't know if I would have ever slashed. lol

It was a no fg grind to 71, but it built character. I'm glad it turned out the way it did looking back.

hehe. yep. now people can just leach off of catas and somehow they still call it slashing...
