thanks smile.gif time to get started again..anyone have ne suggestions for a good melee class?

i personally like fighters to start with and try to collect a nice decent sword setup, because you can use swords on the first 3 classes (feeder, sami, pally once you pass your mq's)

and fighters can wear heavy armors which help some with defense. And try to shoot for around 120 dex at the end with gear and the rest into str. I try to hit 120 dex at lvl 55 with my gear and then pump the remaining statsinto str.

but all this is my personal opinion happy.gif

rogues are good cuz they can use all types of weapons.

Going with axes, though, can also help. However, you'd need to buy
some daggers as well, but the way I've got mine set up will
carry me all the way to Lock before I need new gear.

Feeder - Axe
Sami - Dagger
Pali - Axe
Monk - Dagger
Ninja - Dagger

I don't know.. I prefer axes for more consistent damage as well. wink.gif

To be honest, they all ahve about the same average damage in the end. and with swords im usually the "catastar" rofl.gif in the game. But ive built my inventory over the past few months with ooooodles of luck and FG. you have axes and daggers. I'll have swords and cheap staves (monk) if i choose to go farther next season.

Edited, and those are the only two options for gear sets. wink.gif
People who say to buy clubs don't care about going anywhere in the game.

True.. True.. I guess either build will work just fine.
I just switched from swords because I got tired of the really low hits.
That was my biggest pet peeve about swords. tongue.gif

Exactly. Clubs = lame.

So basically, Chris, you've got
two sets to choose between.
Either way, it can tend to get
relatively expensive.

If you get that 1k fg, you'll have enough to get a decent axe set. wink.gif

Vouch that. Mine cost somewhere around 1k,
I do believe, and it's not too shabby.
(levels are 0,5,10,20,30,40,50,55)
To be honest, that's really all you need,
is every 10 levels. NN for new weapon
every 5 levels. Just a waste of FG, IMO.
