T2 rod -> enough till 5
T3 rod -> 10
T4 rod -> 15


But you can try with a tier 2 rod a lvl7 fish, would be much more harder, but not immposible!
As you can try with a tier 2 rod a lvl1 fish, would be much more easier!

So, just try which lvl/style is the best for you.

I'm @ 15 prof and I prefer fishing with tier V or VI rods coz there's less chance to brake them.
