You should try Huzzah Valley in Missouri. You can camp next to a river, but they or you drive somewhere up river, and ride kayaks, canoes, small boats, water tubes, anything you can float on down that river. Fishing and all. It's really fun!

I am planning on hiking 2-3 of the 14,000+ foot summits here in Colorado. They aren't real trails but there are areas that are easier to scale than others.
It's a true hiking experience where you have to setup camp in clearings, used iodine tablets for drinking water, and all that good stuff.
I have a couple buddies that want to do it with me but we gotta save up the cash to buy supplies and get them up here first.
