So i heard back from 2 of the firms today. I was in the final 2 and just wasn't able to make the push. I've learned from my interviews that hard work/research/good questions gets you to the final 3, but "passion" and "fit" is what gives you the final in.
I still have 1 more that I interviewed with today (2nd rounds) based in Boston but it definitely won't be easy.
