good morning all and gratz on last nights achievements

couldnt log in again due to a heavy thunderstorm yesterday
now its time to catch up, been 2 hours already and still not finished with updates, pms, muting, glyphing etc.



No one knows for sure how it exactly works, but from my experience and what i saw i do think it got a positive effect on various aspects.
it wouldnt make sense to add this mod if it was useless, the people buying it and increasing setups should have their reasons based on their experience they made with it.
but it wouldnt make sense either to make a mod overpowered, so the effect is not that big as some might want it to be and therefore just say its useless.
thats very short sighted and does not get to the core of things.

A positive effect does not guarantee that you just get awesome stuff every day, it just improves your chance to a certain extent.
if you mute stuff, you have all those possible mods and it takes some luck to get the mod you are looking for, like ee, and more luck to get a high number of it.

general luck and especially activity/frequency is the main factor. the more you try, the higher your chance to get what you want finally.
still, some people will just have more "luck" with 0 ml or a lvl 0 character, but this does NOT prove ml is useless at all. why should it?

its just pure chance, like a person passing 5/5 mqs on the same character in a row. its not likely, but such statistics and runs are there to be broken, like in sports.
a team may loose 20 games in a row, but still they might get a perfect day and beat the champion on the next day. its not likely, but anything is possible

on the muters thing, while some people dont believe me, on the version where muting was introduced (i do not know which one this is), paul definutely pointed out that magic luck has an effect, he said it was a very small chance but certainly was there.

And consider this, if it didn't have an effect, why are 14 ML items worth so much???

but the best ticket to success for muting is the amount you mute. tbh i'd go for rare/mystical for a higher chance of getting ee.

i would be in the muting club but i dont buy any mutes, in fact i sell a great deal of them, but i still mute all axes above bronze (and some bronze ones as well ) that i find. which is a fair amount

sometimes it helps putting it directly on the marketplace, most people checking the marketplace are either 100% new, or have thousands and thousands of fg.
items worth ~250-1k with ee rarely get sold there and better to place on marketplace. my sword is a good example, i even bolded the topic, 13 bumps and no offers whatsoever. placed it on marketplace and sells within 2 days.

I was doing just fine soloing. I wasn't getting very far very fast but at least I didnt piss myself off. I join the first game I see and wouldnt u know it....

Stuppid ass motherfcking people......As soona s u join the game they click engage. Not a rdy? or g or going or shit. Just go..... I went in at 1/2 life on my monk to make sure I could get a spot. i was gonna pop out and finish regening real quick when I let the maker know I wanted a spot. I know sometimes u get tired of waiting and just go even without a full game.

So Im stuck in front with an 8 wave first thing and 1/2 life.....yes...... I had something to say....

I have a new ls suggestion.

/available

you can check a box so that you can appear available for catas. That would save a lot of unneccesary msging. If you dont check the box u dont appear on the /available list and you dont get msged for catas. Pretty simple.

A good sublist for this would be

/pro
and
/stupidmotherfuckers

You would type /available and get 2 lists. 1 for pro catas and one with just the stupid motherfckers.

I swear...... It took me about 40 minutes to get 1 lvl. It was so much less stressfull than the 40 seconds I was in that one cata game.

Some people shouldnt even be allowed to make games.......

the only rant I had there was that it took me 15 frigging minutes to find out that nobody else was on. Fcking bullsht. If I could have typed /group or even my new idea /available it would have saved a lot of time.

I know why there is the delay on the /find function. Search flood. Mr. Taulborg told me so himself. I suppose the excessive searching would cause a site lag or something.

Maybe that will be a plus on my side with the /available search. It would only take one search to get what you want. Ok... I was only sorta kinda ina way just joking about the second part of that. I say kinda because i would love to see it but I know its not going to happen.

perhaps we could get some people in the guild to leave their chars at particular places to cata. for example i could leave a char at level 20 and 50 whom can cata competently and should some1 need help they ask me and i'll say sure and bring em up.

might work really well for paparick with his 16 climbers instead of getting all to level 20/40/55/mq perhaps stagger a little more, i.e one at 20, 30,40,55,65 or so.

i am fine with getting one or 2 climbers ready for catas, might eventually take requests of where to stop for you
