First of all, where's the mediator you used? Second, if the deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is (and was). Finally, this guy is the one that scammed you, not me. He knowingly and fraudulently purchased FG with a stolen credit card to defraud you. You have his info, that I dont have (like his accounts and character names).

Sorry for your loss, but I'm also taking a huge loss on this as well, by pursuing the prosecution of this thief.

I'm just going to address this officially once outside of PMs. I think you should be happy you weren't warned in that S/A thread for -ve Spam. I totally understand how you're feeling (angry, helpless, f*cked over). njaguar makes the point I made in my PM about using a Med and being careful in trades. A Med wasn't used, so there's a certain amount of liability that falls on your shoulders--I'm not going to highlight that any futher because you know that and I'm not saying anything is your fault. Med or no Med, nobody deserves to be scammed. For the puposes of support from the site, using Meds and having proof is very important. njaguar is doing the right thing and even going beyond what he needs to do to address and manage the situation. The member who scammed you also screwed Paul over, so he needs to take that gold away from the FG system--that's my thought. In a sense, he's getting rid of "dirty money".

I'm terribly sorry about what happened to you. Bad things happen to innocent people, but it's something that happens very rarely and everyone should feel bad for you; however, I think it's also right to say that it's preferable if you avoid spam and e-rage in relation to what happened. It is shitty, you did get f*cked over by someone who Scammed you and njaguar, but the best that you can do is try to help get the Scammer punished and make your case without blowing your top at Admin or anyone else. Please project your anger respectfully on jsp. If you want to find ways to get out the anger, by all means please kill D2 & LS monsters, lift some weights, go for a run, or by a stress ball and crush it--do anything like that but I must ask you to remain respectful with Admin & ppl trying to help you. You were screwed, sir, but the right thing to do is pick yourself up, and be more careful next time--and yes, sometimes you can't see bad things coming but as Paul suggests perhaps you were going for a deal that was too good to be true. I'm still not clear about what was traded in what way, but if it was just trading items for FG it's okay--if it was char's/acc's it's illegal, anyway.

Good luck in future transactions, and I hope you will feel better about this soon. I'm not coming down on you but I'm hoping to suggest some positive avenues for dealing with what must be a horrible experience. I'm very happy that you took the step to stand up for yourself and I hope you will always do that, but in the future I hope it will be done a bit more *respectfully*. That's not a warning to you and you have nothing to be ashamed of--you reacted as you felt, and you were reacting to something awful. My personal belief is that perhaps you need to build some more constructive anger management skills, and that's something we should probably discuss more privately if you want. Nobody can avoid being miffed about feeling personally screwed over, but everyone can learn some positive things to stregthen them after bad experiences take place. Thank goodness it was just 2.8 k FG and not a lost limb or family member, etc. that doesn't reduce your problem, but I hope it lends it some perspective. I respect your feelings and you have a right to express them. Where I draw a line is at the point where the form of expression breaks rules. It looks like so far people have understood your pain and they don't want to compound things by generating warns.
