But he only gets experience for proficiencies from mystical lvl 5 up to rare level 10...

Before becoming a 'glyph' t was an item, eitehr weapon, armor or charm, with the same mods on it
The higher the level, the longer they can stay active.

What is most desirable is strenght, dex, intel, magic luck (for me!! ) exp gain, etc..
Nothing is wasted in a glyph
