im thinking of once i do finally pass my sammy just to keep my pally a high lvl and mf and stuff, coz i dont think there is a point of me going for the reset, coz clearly i dont have the exp of playing ls to go for it with all items ect...

who rekons this is a good idea or should i just keep going for the guild points? if i did keep a high lvl pally i would make a new char ofc to attempt mq all over again

I would try and pass the mq. If you pass, you get 6 points, if not. Then you can do the climb again.
And if you pass, you can always reroll it to a paladin and play that.

so prolly stop at pally

which is great for caster well better than fighter and sammy caster!

i like your idea of constantly updated guild chars, all i do though is this:

mage: 57 happy to link up with friends or solo for a couple more GP today.

sam: starting will probs take him to 10/15 so i am on my way.

guardian: waiting for Dano.

@ Matty mate tbh I prefer doing the mq for mf. results are far superior if you actualy play the game... have never set out to reset. to do so you need to have it in tight focus.
if you wish to park a high lvl char (i will my guardian for as long as Dano needs him eg) then don't use you main char as it has detriment to the GP you can create... it is much much more fun lvling a pala then any other char i have used as well... be a waste of him.
