Just play multiplayer.

I cant do that far to bad at this game now.

In multiplayer, everyone is attacking the mobs, therefore one person alone doesn't make the difference (unless it's me ofc). So yeah, play multi, you'll find you level way faster, if your gear isn't top of the line.
