I only bought the armor to keep it in the guild. While I may use it at some point, not today I think. Lot of what I'm buying lately is just to either keep it around for our guild to use, or to keep it away from other guilds that may not ever want to give it up.
Spent way too long trying to collect gear that I DO need that is around, but simply unavailable, even though it's not being used, because others refuse to trade. I'd much rather seize the opportunity, and make it so if it DOES get to a point where I need or could use it, that it's there and available, and I don't have to wait six months or a year to get my hands on it.
On that note, currently level 41. Got around 2 and a half more hours until a war declaration I made on knightsdivine.com goes into effect, so I may get up to 45 or so before I call it a night.
Edit: Oh yeah, and in the case specifically of that armor, can't forget that it's no longer spawnable. Sometimes, especially if you have the fg on hand, it's worth grabbing gear that's never again going to be found. There's a reason Nate was willing to spend 105K on his. This one's not as good, but it's certainly good enough.
