Well I certainly see how other guilds get all there mass guild points they just recruit a millionaire that can buy all the good gear and then let his members only use it to make points, I hardly call this a competition, Why are guilds even ranked on guild points, its a shame. All about who has the most money I guess. Hopefully this team will make it to page one some day... sigh...

Most people that have good gear and Fg have worked for it by starting from the bottom and finding good gear, not many people acctually recruit millionaires

Starting from the botom? When you loan ls gear so they can use it you call that starting from the botom?

A lot of my members are like Doug here, who truly start from what I call rock bottom, nobody at all helping him in any way with items. He's got to level 42 but I find that most people burn out of ls not far from this level because they don't have good enough items to do so they say. So I Inquired a GG ladder slasher about how people go about getting Guild points when they are lither not willing or cannot afford to pay fg for ls game. And this is what he had to say.

"The first key is, yes 10k Fg is better to start slashing with but if not here are some guildlines

If a guild member has 250+ Fg, have them purchase gear that can slowly get them to the master quest or have them follow the lower level idea below

For lower level fg slashers, have them buy cheap gear and have them reroll their char and sell all decent finds on Mp for some Fg (this will increase their Fg)

here are gear choices for both kinds of chars

lower levels:

Melle: ee weap, dex and Life per kill/ life per combat round armor, dex and life per kill/combat round charm

Caster: ee weap, dex and Life per kill/ life per combat round armor, dex and life per kill/combat round charm

Yes casters are normally melle for the levels 1-10

Mid levels:

melle: ee weap, dex and life steal armor, dex and lifesteal charm

Caster: Int weap, Int Armor, ee charm

High levels:

melle: ee weap, dex and life steal armor, dex and lifesteal charm

Caster: Int weap, Int Armor, ee charm

Normally Good equip is expensive but cheap gear can get you there."

Hopefully this will help our team as recruits from Diablo that playd the ls game got addicted to it and then burnt out. Maybe they will start back up again.

First, best of luck getting your guild into the LS scene. It's a hard game to get into and stay interested in, and the people who can do it are far and few between.

However, your guild is huge, so it'd be nice to see you on the front page.

But don't get the wrong impression. When I first started LS, I had 5fg, no gear, and no guild.

It took many seasons worth of work and effort to get to where I am now.

Many of the other slashers you will speak to are the same.

Really, the best idea is to just tough it out. Get basic gear to get slowly to MQ and then upgrade that gear to better and better as you go.

Yes, some guilds do have "item banks" where guild members loan eachother gear. However, many of the most successful LS players don't depend on loaned gear. And many players went from poor to rich via LS, others went from rich to poor.

It's a fun game, but really, it's all about dedication. Yes, it can be slow, difficult, and frustrating. But dedication, hard work, and effort will always win through.

And you've stated you don't personally play LS, FlyingHigh, but for those of your members who do, as long as they aren't overly offensive about it, nearly all of the LS community is willing to help them and give them advice in any way they can to help further their progress with this game.

Not to mention you have dark, who's a gg slasher himself, when he wants to be. wink.gif

Best of luck to you. smile.gif

A Small Guide for you

XUnrealX’s http://forums.d2jsp.org/index.php?showuser=326896 Guide to simple slashing

This Guide to Ladder Slasher has been written for the Guilds of INTRASIEGE and US ARMED FORCES. All Rights to this guide’s publishing (posting) are held by me XUnrealX

As many of you know Ladder Slasher is a Text Based RPG produced by njaguar. The most important part of the game is the items. I have been informed by members of the US Armed Forces guild that most of their players have low Fg and this is a comprehensive guide for them.

There are 4 Feeder Characters:

Fighter: A well balanced Melee Character.
Uses sword, club, and axe and has Heavy armor

Barbarian: A more Strength and Vitality Based melee character
Uses sword, club, and axe and has Heavy armor

Rouge: High in Dexterity and Intelligence, can be used for casting and melee
Uses sword, club, axe, dagger, and staff and has Medium armor

Magician: High in intelligence, used for casting
Uses dagger and staff and has Light armor

There are positives and negatives to all characters.

Fighter: Well rounded, Lower on life for players with less godly of equipment but still viable, low defense versus caster.

Barbarian: High Base weapon damage, High life, Lower Dexterity allows for less high damage critical hits, low defense versus caster.

Rouge: High chance for Good Critical hits, Good Defense versus caster and melee with high dex and intelligence, lower life, lower base weapon damage.

Caster: Low life, High Intelligence for good casting damage, low defense versus melee, low life

Most players when they create Character do a combo like this for their first stat points:

All to Vitality
5 to Vitality/5 to other stat they are maxing
All to Other stat

Strength: Not Commonly Maxed, adds to base weapon damage
Dexterity: Commonly Maxed for Melee, adds to defense and weapon critical hits
Intelligence: MAXED FOR CASTERS
DO NOT MAX VITALITY ( 10 points Max)

Gears:

Lower levels (1-10)

Melee:
Weapon mods to look for: Enhanced Effect weapon
Armor mods to look for: Dexterity and Life per kill and/Or life per combat round
Charm mods to look for: Dexterity and life per kill and/or combat round charm

Caster:
Weapon mods to look for: Enhanced Effect weapon
Armor mods to look for: Dexterity and Life per kill and/Or life per combat round
Charm mods to look for: Dexterity and life per kill and/or combat round charm

Yes casters are normally melee for the levels 1-10 (easier for most)

Mid levels (20-40)

Melee:
Weapon mods to look for: Enhanced Effect weapon, Stat you are maxing, Life steal
Armor mods to look for: Stat you are maxing, Life steal
Charm mods to look for: Stat you are maxing, Life steal

Caster:
Weapon mods to look for: Intelligence
Armor mods to look for: Intelligence
Charm: High Enhanced Effect

High levels:

Melee:
Weapon mods to look for: Enhanced Effect weapon, Life steal, stat you are maxing
Armor mods to look for: Stat you are maxing, Life steal
Charm mods to look for: Stat you are maxing, Life steal

Caster:
Weapon mods to look for: Intelligence
Armor mods to look for: Intelligence
Charm: High Enhanced Effect

HINTS AND TIPS:

Yes Good Gear costs A LOT of Fg.

Low Fg: For 1-10 equip try to spend about 3-10 Fg if you can. ReRoll your char when you cant level very quickly any more and are not finding gear. Sell the ok gear you get for 1+ Fg on the Market place so you can buy more Gear to keep leveling. This will be extremely annoying but it will help you because you will either find better gear for yourself or you can sell the items you find for more Fg that you had when you started.

Mid Fg: Either follow low Fg guide with better equip OR get to level 10 and continue to buy better higher level equip until you can get to the master quest at level 71.

High Fg: You just have one goal, GET TO THE MASTER QUEST AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.

Remember that gear sharing is not “Not Permitted” but is a at your own risk kind of thing. I recommend sharing gear you are not using so others in your guild can continue to level.

More to Come
