This is an update to our super-sexy Iron Coffers:

Iron Coffers (Labyrinth Ladder Slasher Reset Fund)

LS FUND FOR THE HIGHEST CHARACTER AT RESET:

Details:
  • We will have separate funds for SC & HC.
  • If you donate to the funds, send it to RewtheBrave--donations to the funds will be counted as Guild donations.
  • The winner in each group will be the character at the highest level in the highest character class (in the rare case of a tie, funds will split evenly).
  • Donors will be listed in this thread with the amounts next to their names/profile links [I will be adding the suffix 'theBrave' to your names again].
  • Payout is of course at the end of the season.
  • NEW: For sake of fairness to the contest, this season we're allowing only people who have been in Labyrinth within 6 2 months of the reset date to win the reset prize.

edit: And you do have a say. Rew is always looking for suggestions to better the guild and the way we do things. Everyone has a voice in Labby

Correct :) I sent a PM to Rick asking him for his thoughts on getting rid of that rule. It's a vestigial rule that came into play to assure that dedicated Labyrinth slashers would win the prize. Back then, we weren't even 90%+ LS-oriented.

EDIT: rule changed from 6 month to 2 month requirement.

damn rule!

That rule I believe is somewhat flexible. It was made to prevent someone who just joined from hijacking the prize from someone who had been a dedicated slasher. If you started from feeder ( or close) and you have the highest at the end, then you should be able to win regardless of join date. That showed good solid dedicated slashing. :)

Stay tuned about that rule; not sure if Rick and I decided to drop the rule or not. Will update with my next update of the funds (two new donations today btw) :)

Imo (I know I have no say) but I think it should be like a month maybe 2 tops.

Eh it's kinda hard because i see alot of people leave for the sake of somewhere else that offers fg for gp's. And I've seen people leave just cause they can't find a right place to settle home with. Luckily I have found that with Labby and I couldn't be happier :)

It would kinda be sad to see someone who stayed with Labby for a month, made their fg,and decided to leave. I'd say 3months sounds about right though.

here's the suggestion box :)  http://forums.d2jsp.org/guild.php?t=1565&o=20#p4961100

I think 3 months sounds pretty good too. Depending on slashing activity. Someone joining with a high class and going afk doesn't deserve to win even if has been in for 3+ months. ( Unless there is a really good reason)

It's been good having you around and a pleasure slashing with you.

I'm afraid you are mistaken about that. That is where I leave my suggestions. *Since mine are the only ones that matter anyway. ;)

Labby is my home for the remainder of my Jsp careerEven though it is all based around LS (I know it's not 100%) I feel more at home then I have in every other guild and I don't think I could find a better one. I may have only been here for close to 4 months but it feels like I have grown up with the guild. :)

It's even good having noobs around. :p Seriously, it has been good having you here too.

Now let's get some slashing done......Hopefully I can get a couple in before it's too late.

I have just replied to Rew regarding the 6-month rule.
It was effective before we had these super-fast cata runs and 3 resets in 1 year.
Now, it is kinda useless, and I have recommended that it be scrapped in favor of a 2-month rule.

As to someone's opinion not being considered, you could not be more wrong.
All opinions are taken into consideration and hashed out by admin.
Sometimes we get very bullheaded about changes, but things usually work out well in the end.
Case in point was our recent massive down-sizing.
We still carry a few bruises from those discussions, but they were honestly earned and it all turned out well.

I edited my last post to bring the join date-reset winning requirement down to 2 months to reflect popular interest, and also because it serves us better in the age of catas and more slashing in Labyrinth :)
