Since the Dawn of Time, man has waged war, both amongst themselves and against the dangers of the wilderness. Here in the Land of LadderSlasher is no different. Evil monsters, hellbent on destroying humanity and more learned in the ways of magic than humans, lurk in the catacombs, arena and Evil Well, each one more powerful and dangerous than the last. We must look back to Humanity's most deadly warriors and learn from them if we are to survive the perils of this land.
One of our most powerful warriors in history were the Greek Spartains. It is rumored that the great Spartains used an ancient magic to become such amazing warriors. This magic was used to augment the body and mind. The better the materials used, the longer this magic would last. It could embue a Spartain with extra Strength, Dexterity, Vitality, and even Intelligence. This magic could give regenerative powers or even allow a Spartain Warrior to learn from battle more effectively. All these abilities, and more, helped the Spartains to be some of the most feared warriors in all of history.
This sacred warrior magic was a well guarded secret, known only to the Spartains and a few others (Even using this magic only showed signs of its existence to its user; others nearby, even allies, could never tell when it was or was not being used). And for YEARS this magic fell by the wayside, guarded in myth and uncertainty...UNTIL NOW
