dont let them bull you around! unless there is a problem in the area, ask for your TX and RX levels at modem and signal to noise ratio at modem. these go often "out of acceptible range" and cause intermittent data loss. customer service reps ignore this if you are online at time of call, causing you great annoyance. the only thing you can do is switch modems or have a tech come to your house and fix that shit (possibly an issue with levels in line).
