Way back on like my second and third MQs i used 2 different build - one was an 80dex build and another was 100. all the other gear stayed the same and the strength build did much more damage on average. I think that strength > dex for pure damage purposes, and since I'll be sitting in the back with a robe, I don't feel I need the defence from dexterity. When (if) i pass to monk though i'll be trying one climb at 180/80 and one at 160/100, and compare the averages i hit for. There's a chance that str gets less useful at really high amounts.
