Rex, my merc uses hone sundan and giant skull, like 55% crushing blow, really kills NM fast, and he does 100% of the damage.  All I do is provide BO/Shout, both maxed, and stuns with my Leap.  Then I hork all the bodies for even more gold.

bought it vs 1,400fg.  guy wanted 2k for it because he thought mind numb was some big miracle worker on a melee ee weapon.  talked him down to 1.4. 

I have seen staffs ~150-160ee going for 1.5-1.7, that's still a fair price, but you might find cheaper if someone is hard up for fg.
