The Ramones are *the* Godfathers of Punk. The changed a whole rock era. And they are about the best thing in the world to slash to.

The dropkick murphys are just a cool irish punk band from Boston. Also nice to slash to.

I also enjoy James Taylor and the Sugar Hill Gang. Just not while slashing.

OMG they are the best! But i wouldn't know any of those bands cause i only listen to korean songs :S
