I swear I think the exp is so much better. I may try some solo no maze just to see how it goes. I wanna try it at low lvl as well to see how it works.

I got the impression from my experience that arena brings more or less ok exp till level 72, 73 at the most only
because its reduced by 50% with every lvl up since the monsters are stuck at 71.
Another ok way to get exp is welling. ( and i mean welling anything, tier I are fine, too ) This should work till level 75 easily,
but same problem as above, exp gets reduced with every lvl up.
the chance of multiple drops is much lower here ( although still possible, but you might get some nice results with higher level stuff )
but beware of crits. monsters have higher stats as well here and big life/mana so they might hit really high, especially dangerous for mages^^
But the best way to get exp fast past lvl 71 is catacombs because the monsters are higher level till about 75, so this process of reduced exp doesnt start that early here.
maze seems to be faster in terms of exp ( with a party ), but it doesnt drop that nice. although the rates were increased again
+ the new update allows you to join ANY players game past 71 which is a huge advantage to find a party faster.
no maze is extremely nice for items, there is a xiv drop every 5 runs on average ( in full party ) usually and a lot other useful stuff.
with catacombs it isnt a huge effort to reach lvl 80, there are some higher ones even.
i went catacomb solo as well a lot with my 80 fighter, but it gets annoying to be able to do 1 wave only, its much nicer with others
( i wouldnt do more than 1 wave, costs too much life/mana when you get hit by two enemies in the next, rather do 1 and leave to start the next right after^^ )
