you can glyph items with ee on, but there needs to be another mod as well on this item.
ee only increases the duration a glyph is working, like tier I works 5 minutes usually, with some ee it gets increased to 5 min and 20 seconds for instance.
it doesnt effect the charm/weapon damage. thus a magical ee item isnt glyphable since it would be plain without any effect.

on level 0, tier I magical and rare items are basically what you need to get decent exp.
should be 5 for magical, 10 for rare, 15 mystical. but the rare+ will be a little harder ( more successful glyphs needed to fill the bar, more "???")
for a total of 1000 exp you should need about 200 successful glyphs if you take magical mainly.

but you can be sure you wont do all glyphs successfully, especially the high tier/magical level ones.

the higher your proficiency, the more items you can glyph.
its basically like this:

Prof 0: Tier I Magical-rare+
Prof 1: Tier I Mystical+
Prof 2: Tier I Arcane+ and Tier II Magical-Rare ( tier II quite low success rate )
Prof 3: Tier I Epic+ and Tier II Magical-Rare - mystical-angelic
Prof 4: Tier I Artifact+ and Tier II Magical-Mythical
Prof 5: Tier II Magical+arcane
Prof 6: Tier II Mystical+ - epic
Prof 7: Tier III Magical-Rare (hopefully, didnt reach this level yet.)

the exp you get from items gets higher, too. but therefore the total exp you need for level up rises:

lvl 0-1: 1000xp
lvl 1-2: 2000xp
lvl 2-3: 3000xp
...

basically its about 200 tries for each level up till level 5, i noticed on level 6 it was massively harder, probably twice as much tries needed.

lag will be the ultimate pain for glyphing.

if you ever loose 2-3 items due to lag, quit. its a waste of your glyphables because you have no chance.
rather wait for the lag to stop. personally, i can only glyph in the mornings usually, afternoon- evening it lags too much for me.
