just realised, what would be better 3x 3 doors or 6x 2 doors?

3 doors and "passing" 3 doors is something different.
A normal MQ is 3 doors, passing 3 doors is a 4-door-MQ imo.

Passing 3 doors is 1/24 though.
1/4 on the first, 1/3 on the second and 1/2 on the third. 100% on the last door. smile.gif

If this is still not what you mean, I'll stop. duh.

hm give me some secs.
I did that some years ago Ôo

1. door correct chance = 1/3 = 33,33%
2. door correct chance = 1/2 = 50%

next:
combinations which you can use

G = gold
S = silver
c = copper

GSC
GCS

SGC
SCG

CGS
CSG

= 6 combinations

Chance to pass = 1/6 = 16,66% imo

It's like this, no doubt:
3-door-MQ chance = 1/3 * 1/2 = 1/6
4-door-MQ chance = 1/4 * 1/3 * 1/2 = 1/24
5-door-MQ chance = 1/5 * 1/4 * 1/3 * 1/2 = 1/120
6-door-MQ chance = 1/6 * 1/5 * 1/4 * 1/3 * 1/2 = 1/720

To fix it:

Combinations you can use:

G = gold
S = silver
C = copper

GSC
GCS

SGC
SCG

CGS
CSG

= 6 combinations

Chance to pass = 1/6 = 16,66%
If you always use same combinations, you're gonna pass 1 of 6 mqs ( if you do 6 then you maybe pass more/less, but if you do more mqs you will see it's correct.
