You have an outdated comp? At least outdated by todays standards?

My old comp did that same thing. Every 30 seconds or so it froze for a sec, then let up.

I was able to fix this by buying a new computer.

Oh yea very outdated imo. Got it about 8 years ago. It just started doing this I'm hoping it's the gfx card or something. If not I guess I'll have to buy a new comp soon

On a serious note, I had this exact same issue like I said. I couldn't figure it out, and it gave me an excuse to buy a new computer.

Still downstairs, and still has the same issue.

It's hard nowadays to get a computer and have it not be outdated within 2 years.

Do you have real time virus scan? Are you on a wireless network that is unprotected? Have you looked at your task manager (ctrl-alt-delete) and sorted by CPU usage and also Memory Usage? Have you identified what the hogs were?
