think i'm shopping for a laptop now, old one might make it a little longer, but i always kind of wonder when i have to reboot it.
have $35 in best buy gift cards, so even though i think they tend to overprice everything, i'd like to get rid of them

honestly, what i mostly do is play really low-end games, email, and write junk, but i wouldn't mind being able to run d3 when it comes out.
no idea what i'm doing, help!
someone like...you?
All you have to do is check slickdeals.net or one of the other similar sites every day and wait for a nice deal to pop up. Id recommend sticking with Lenovo or Asus, they usually have the best prices and solid build quality. Avoid dell and hp at all costs. For a really solid one you're looking at ~$650-700. For something like running low end games and running D3 with lower settings you can probably get by with like a ~$450 machine. If thats still too much you can find cheaper, but I dont know how well D3 would work on it.
Comparing laptops isnt too bad, processor and graphics card are probably the two most important things to look at. Google something like computerbenchmarks and Ctrl F whatever parts you are comparing and see which tested better. It doesnt always mean one part is better than another, but its still worth looking at.
Occasionally best buy has a decent deal, but its pretty rare. You're better off using those gift cards on the accessories like a case or mouse or something.
Dont know how soon you need it, but the more patient you are the easier it is to find a nice deal. Took me about 3 weeks to find one that fit my specs/budget about 6 months ago. Let me know what your budget is and I'll keep my eyes open. Or if you have any questions let me know.
