I dont play HC, I play east sc ladder but I am usually just in it for FG, D2 has been dead to me for a long time really... all my old friends are gone, and the game changed sometime back around 1.09-1.10 for the worse, at least in my book.

I miss all the old lance barbs, buriza zons, nova sorcs, etc. Back then the only thing that could teleport was a sorc or a crafty person with tele amulets. The game was a lot more fun to play, simply because it took a more skilled person to be good. Now there are a few cookie-cutter builds, and runewords that everyone and their grandma (no pun intended) uses. It's just not nearly as fun anymore.

On a plus note, I have made ~6k from this ladder so far, so I am not complaining one bit. Going to go nuts and buy LS gear whenever we hit a reset and prices level back out to a reasonable level.

You may have convinced me to give it a shot. Been forever since I played classic, I would have to read up some and find out what I wanted to make.

Won't be tonight, got too many other projects going on, doing a few graphics jobs right now and still trying to fix this damn computer for an elderly lady so I can earn some extra cash this week.

what kind of graphics job i wanna know and how did you break the computer whats with it or what doesnt it do

I make signatures, avatars, simple animations, guild charters, profile work, anything really. I made the charter you guys currently use, as well as many signatures for people in my guild. You can check my Photo Gallery for the work I have done, its mostly there. I troll the Graphics Request forum often just looking for things that interest me, I don't really do it for the FG but that is a benefit of course, I do it more for the actual enjoyment of creativity.


As far as the PC is concerned, this lady is probably ~60, and her computer is about that old... it has not been defragged or had a virus scan/spamware scan done on it that I can tell EVER, so it is borderline dead. It has windows XP but it only has 256MB ram, so that alone is a bottleneck, it's starved for resources.

I have some old ram at my house that I keep for dinosaurs like this, upgraded it to 768MB and it's purring like a kitten now that I have completely formatted and reinstalled Windows. Just need to finish running windows update, put a few antivirus tools on here, and load some of her old games back on... she is a sucker for those Mahjong games and Card games like bridge/solitare.

Probably charge her ~$100 for the job, the ram is worth nothing to me but I am sure on eebay it goes for like 10-20 bucks, and I have a few hours worth of work doing it.

best antivirus and firewall is microsoft essentials it is what i use and its free it automatically scans the web pages befor you actually enter it to make it is clean and it updates regularly

I use a combination, and have never once had anything compromised.

Use AVG Free, Spybot Search & Destroy (was using AD-Aware but it's windows background service is bothersome to certain things) and also Microsoft Anti-Spyware. Also use CCleaner to clean the junk temp files and scan for registry errors, and I have had this windows box running for ~3 years without ever skipping a beat. It froze once on me but that is because I was running D2, War3, Photoshop, Firefox, and uTorrent all at once, and I think it did not like the D2/War3 running at the same time.

3 years, one hard restart. Not a bad run. XP Pro SP3 also.

xp home sp2 for the win and xp just rocks as an o/s never had any problems with it and windows me and 2000 and vista suck monkey balls
