And Jesse - I'll give you 1 indisputable reason why daggers/axes > swords/staffs, and that is: playing every class

swords and staffs will get you fine through the first few classes but once you hit warlock you are screwed if you don't have any caster gear, and then if you get to headhunter you are mega screwed because all they can use is axes.
Also, with the new update it even gives another reason why I prefer the dagger/axe combo, and that is stats. If you use swords you need str gear and if you use staffs you need dex gear. However, with daggers you need dex gear and with axes it doesn't matter either way (because they are 50/50) so you won't have to buy 2 sets of melee gear.
Granted, most people who use daggers and axes also cast as much as they can (dunno why, just something I've noticed. Diehard melee fans usually go sword/staff for some reason), and I will admit that I am amassing a sexy caster sword set (and working on an int staff set as well) but as for melee I would take daggers and axes any day of the week
mostly just because of if I ever get to headhunter, but also now because of the ratios

However, I know that there's no persuading some of you so I'll let you have fun with you swords and staffs and stop hatin' now
