I agree with the principal, im not sure which guy(s) you are reffering to.
Non the less, hc is hc b/c of the risk of death, lowering that risk takes away the principal.
My first LS mq ever was going to be on hc .. a lvl 66 fighter bit the dust when I lost my net connection.
I just stopped playing b/c I don't find spending fg to rely on my net and other uncontrolable circumstances worth it, d2 hc is way easier then ls hc in terms of regearing and such

That is true, there is risk, but the guys that believe that lag
is all part of the game.. I just don't believe that to be true.
Lag is an unexpected player in the game.
And really, it wouldn't be lowering the risk of death, in general.
If you die because you don't run away quick enough, or
because you think you can make it, then it's your own fault.
But to sit there and get killed by a lag, not having the
"RUN AWAY FROM TEH LAGGG" button, then what is the point
in HC at all. I, personally, feel it would be a decent help anyways.
I mean, there's guys who are all like "HC is like life, there are no re-rolls.."
I mean.. Lag isn't a part of life. And, like was said in my post, I'm sure
that Paul didn't intend for lag to become a part of the game, therefore,
IMHO, it is not a part of the game. Implementing something like the guy's idea
wouldn't really make hardcore soft at all. It would just take away the pointless,
helpless deaths, and losing everything because there was nothing you could
do about your internet connection.
