I was on vent most of morning with You, Matt, and Tony, I just couldn't talk.
I was the one moving matt around lol.

My mom had another leg surgery. Went from taking 2hrs, to taking 5 hrs.
Dr. said the next time he has to do surgery on her, he's taking her leg/s.

This is like her 5th bypass surgery on her legs because of smoking.
There was so much plaque in her veins/arteries that he actually had to bypass, the bypass.
I'm still in the surgical lounge, she's in recovery and I'm sure I'll see her soon.

I hope your mom has speedy recovery. Has she quit smoking as a result of all this?

No, she hasn't.

More good bad news. I went to see her and they woke her up enough to say hi, and bye to me.
She has been rushed back into surgery because she has lost a significant amount of blood.
They did a hemoglobin test and it went from 11.7 to 6 in one hour. I have no idea what that means.
It can't be good because the nurse and doctors were freaking out.
So they have to go in, find the leak, fix it, and give her a shitload of blood back.

Jesus... my thoughts and prayers are with your family Bri

A little update on my mom:

The surgery didn't work. Her leg is cold and is getting barely any blood to speak of. She has a skin test tomorrow at 3:15 at another hospital near by.
Then she has another scan to determine where exactly it's slowing down at.

All this because she is having her leg amputated on Thursday. They need to determine where to amputate it at.
There isn't anything more they can do. The Dr. said at this point to just give her pain meds to try and keep her comfortable.
He said with her veins dead, her leg is dieing and contributing to the most pain shes ever been in.

My prayers are with you and your mother. Stay strong as she is gonna need your strength....I don't know you but if you ever need to talk message me

I think the shit thing is to realize that losing her leg is the best decision of 2 really shitty options.
Hopefully it can go as smoothly as possible.
She has had a lot of problems with the anesthesia so far this time.
Never before, but this time she woke up violent as hell and I literally had to pin her arms down so she didn't rip the IV's and shit out of her arms.
It's been a rough road so far. So I'm hoping it gets better from here on out.

Well I'm off to the Hospital for the shit day.
Amputation is scheduled for noon today.
Man I hope everything goes smooth.
After the last week we've had I could use it.
