I'm sure at 94 it is... Chevy made the change from carborated to fuel injected in the early 90's

thats what i thought, the easiest way to drain the gastank is take off the hose that goes into the gas filter, and extend that hose out of the truck into a pail or something, and then keep turning over the engine until the tank is drained

if that doesn't work.. the other way to drop the tank with that much weight is to put a piece of plywood on top of a jack, and jack it up so it sits directly under the heavy tank, detach the tank, and use the jack to lower the tank safely and easily... from there, you can shove your syphon hose directly into the tank and save the gas ;)
