I myself use Photoshop CS3 Extended and it is quite nice. I have used photoshop for years, since version 6.0, all the way up to CS1-4. CS3 is my fav.

I would say 5/10.

the blurring/smudging around the stock image is quite noticeable, maybe play with the Opacity.

Also, duplicate the layer before you smudge/blur it, then you can change the opacity of that whole layer and also erase parts of it without damaging the original.

The text is very dark, maybe add an Outer Glow to that layer, or Stroke to help bring it out some. A gray/lighter colored glow or stroke would look nice.

Not bad at all for your first few tries, keep at it and you will get better all the time.
