Btw... I was watching "River Monsters". He was in Australia looking for freshwater sawfish. I was like wtf?? Freshwater? He caught a couple of Bull sharks. I was seriously  Sharks and sawfish in freshwater? Damn, can't even swim in fresh water without getting eaten or at least attacked. To think I though that it was just everything in the ocean and on land. Now I find out it's freshwater too. Sigh...... I guess I will just have to enjoy the pretty pictures....

lol James. All of the rivers where I used to live are semi-tidal. Fresh and salt. Double the nasties! There were two rivers in particular that I really hated. I mean
really hated. The water was pitch black. Seriously black. Smelt really bad (as mangroves do of course) but the whole feel of the river was eerie. Trees hugged the waterline making it seem darker. Sooo many snakes (including giant Tiapans, big fat ones over 18 feet long!) and crocs. Lots of big nasty crocs. Stopped at an island in that river once to have lunch. Brother and I walked up (with guns of course) to make sure no pigs got stranded there when tide changed. Turned to head back to say all was cool and realised we were walking in the shape a giant croc had left while he lay in the sun, and it was still wet. Needless to say we had lunch elsewhere that day. When the lizards are bigger than your 20ft boat it's time to leave

Awesome place to catch mudcrabs though!
