Mal'Ganis is a crappy ass server too. There literally is like 96% Horde on that server. What fun is playing a PVP server where you're 96% of the population. Sounds lame to me. Oh yeah, Alliance FTW
Lastly, it's 79.99 I think to full upgrade to Cataclysm if you buy it from battle.net. Only download it from them online as you get a large discount.

A PVP server is a must IMO. The rest is personal preference. More population is generally better & be sure to sync up with the time zones. I'm on Bleeding Hollow and play Alliance.

Adam is telling the truth though, I primarily play by myself in the game. A non-raid party has a max of 5 ppl and as I play 5x accounts at the same time, I don't really have room for others.

As for making fg in the game, you can make a rediculous amount.  (You can also spend a rediculous amount for vanity items like mounts).  There are a ton of strategies into doing it.  I'd suggest that your first toon be an enchanter / tailor.    Selling the enchanting mats will make you a small fortune and being a tailor allows you to pick up extra cloth from mobs.  I'm purposely shying you away from a gathering profession for unless you bot, you can make more gold / hour elsewhere if you desire.  You'll eventually want to graduate into making a second toon for additional professions where they all compliment each other, but I won't get into it that much.  Playing the AH is where it's at.  Don't be shy to visit Curse.com for some mods too

If you raf with me you will get to 85 3x faster than normal. so if it takes you 3 weeks to get to 85 it would only take 1 week with me. saving you 14 days of your life. would you rather have those 14 days to do other things or get 20k wow gold? which is actually only about 1k fg. current WoW gold ratios are more like 1:15k +

+ You will be playing with people like me, Lethardus(Rick), Ryans, Tyl3r, Bobdave, Anemoii, Justin (When hes on). We are all in the same guild and help eachother out all the time.
