I assume we are still trying to get more done on ladder slasher yet, though it's been a whlie.

As an update, I started a barbarian a few days ago, and got to 25 before running out of my fg supply for gear. I plan to trade some d2 stuff off to get more fg so I can finish my climb, but you might be able to help me a bit with information. First, do items disappear with the reset of a ladder season? If they do, it seems like a collossal waste to be buying up gear. Second, any amazing tips for a barb that I might not have figured out by now? I did the build with the first ten points to vita, and then the rest are to str and dex (mostly str). Looking for swords with ee, heavy plate with ee, and charms for stats like str, dex, and life on hit, or kill. Any help might be helpful.

To answer a couple of your questions:

You will never lose any LS items unless you delete them, or die on HC. A ladder reset simply sends everyone back to level one on feeder class.

For your barb, in almost every case, first 10 points should go to STR. I'd definitely suggest selling some D2 gear to get FG. Especially if you play Ladder mostly, cause a patch is imminent anyhow. With limited FG, I'd probably advise you to find some STR armor instead of EE armor. EE armor is best used at 100+EE and can be costly.

That's a relief to hear about the items not disappearing.

It seems that after about 20, the items get very scarce, so even with the fg I made last night, I was unable to find much in the way of inventory. I suppose this begins the waiting game

Catacombs allows under-geared players to get carried thru. Try getting into a cata group.

Just saw The Book of Eli. It was a great movie, with an even greater message. I must warn you, it does contain quite a few adult themes that are definitely not suitable for children or the faint of heart.
