So I am out in the garage minding my own business waxing my boat, when WHAM right into my ear it goes. I threw down my towel and grabbed my left ear and pinched it at the base because I could feel and hear the bug going in deeper!
I run into the house while pinching my ear, trying to keep the bugger from getting into my ear even deeper and I get Brittany ,my daughter to come to my aid. Though she is freaking out about it already because I am freaked out by the bug doing the helicopter dance in my ear. Did I mention the feet on those things? They got hooks or something on them. I wont go into detail on that feeling.
Anyways I am telling Brittany to get the tweezers and get ready. Because when I quit pinching my ear I am afraid its going to go in even deeper. She says she can't see it. I am like "what?!?!" How can you not see it. Anyways she is telling me I have to go to the doctor! Panicked a little bit. We know that is not going to happen!(me going to the doctor that is)
I get the tweezers from Brittany. Cody my son, he is over at the door peaking in, mouth wide open in shock about seeing daddy run though house hollering about a bug.
With tweezers in my right hand I finally let go of my left ear after much reservation about that, because it already felt like the darn thing was half way to the other side as it was. I do a quick hand swap with the tweezers and shake my head and use my right hand to hit the side of my head. (note that doesn't help matters at all.) I plunge the tweezers into my ear canal and snag that pesky bug.
I pull it out rather quickly(not fast enough). I hear in unison " ewwww" from both kids. lol
Then they ask "how did it get there?" I say "Well that's the easy part it flew right in, I guess it thought it was cave!" I received dumbfounded looks for that remark.
No damage to my ear. Aside from where I tried to pinch it shut. Though it still feels funny. I don't imagine I will sleep very well tonight because of it.
As for the type of bug , I guess it was the best kind to get in your ear if your going to get one in there. One of those pesky brown moths.
Good night, and keep the bugs out! (of ya ear!)
