I thought the same, until I broke all the rods i had except the 27 ironwood. Started using it and leveled 6,7,8 so far and i haven't broken it yet. Currently, I get 1% every 6 fish caught. I got 1% every 8-10 fish caught when I used a 49 pine at levels 3-5. I have about 200 tier1 magical essences I can give to u to help u start the suffucensing. It took me about 300 to break level 1.

thanks, but I imagine that your essences are on SC ;)

One question then about using higher level rods vs your fishing level. Does it take longer or shorter amount of time to fish?

I'll start hunting for higher level rods and try them out though!

I dont believe time is relevant in fishing. 95% of the time I complete the fishing rod counter is at 40% or more. I believe that the higher the rod (to a point) allows the fisher to have a higher chance of success. The durability is like the EE%, for example 60%EE on a tier III item is still lower than 0%EE on a tier XIV item. I will time the number of fish I catch 10,25,50 and 100. So u can compare ur times.

10 fish in 4:30 minutes with 1 quit and 2 that got loose.

eh?

you serious? I felt that was a really high time when I saw it.

I just went and did 10, felt like a typical pace for me. Did it in 2:15, one Escaped :blink:

I am using a recently bought Elm Rod (+20 Durability) I do not have a higher level rod to test out though.
