i have windows 8 and it has a reset to factory setting the completely cleans my comp of viruses and malware. I refresh it once a week and reset maybe once a month. comp runs very smoothly that way
yeah factory reset from the hidden partition works great but it will overwrite my whole harddisk, even when i have separate partitions.
also always burn a set of boot cd/dvd's incase the physical hard drive breaks and you can't use the partition
the manufactuerers are too cheap to give you the disks anymore
