My father in law flipped out the day after we got there and was spoiling for a fight and my son who is 6, was the first person to get in his way. He put his hands on my child, told him that if he didnt stop doing what ever it was that he was doing, that he was going to beat his mother. I left with both my kids, walked down to the beach and didnt say another word to him. He walked down to where we were sitting and decided to lay into me and even brought my 4 year old daughter into it.
I left immediately after I could get our stuff packed and headed home. Called our local cops from 300 miles away and told them everything. When we got home I had to take my child to the hospital to be checked out by a doctor and they helped me get a protection order against my husbands dad. Ray, the hubby, met me at the hospital and stayed with me the whole time. Now my mother in law who protected the bastard that put his hands on my child is crying foul.
Grr.
So yeah the vacation sucked and I had all the reservations in my name and on my credit card so I had them all thrown out on their asses and cancelled the rest of the reservations on them. Now I just have to deal with it all over again when they get home.
