So I actually solo'd 50 - 51 earlier on the samurai and it wasn't half bad. I'm glad that Paul tweaked the exp gain for solo catas :)

i was just going to spend 150fg on lvl 55 dagger and 40fg on 55 axe then spend rest on d2 since i installed it on this laptop and can play a bit more :o dont need anything else for ls so yea ^_^

How did I solo or how did he tweak the drops?

Well, I solo'd by just clicking on catacombs before creating a group, and Paul tweaked the exp gain by raising it to ~1.2-1.5% per mob rather than 0.75% per mob :)
