Remember this...

Dexterity = Crit Defense as well as setting up the weapon damage, so do NOT disregard it based on the update.

this update is overwhelming lol
i wonder if it will even be a big difference for me in dmg for my heavy hybrids.
gahhhh idk what to do either switch to str/hm heavy gear and dex/hm robes
or just sell all my hybrid gear and just buy straight up high ee swords and staffs

This thread is for people to express themselves, with that in mind, could you please do us a favor and not close it if a few comments get out of hand, thank you.

First off... Paul, thank you for the time and effort you put into this update, there are alot of great things done and alot of thought put into it.

Likes:
Nerfing of AoE with the introduction of casting speed based on numbers etc... love it
New monster images and the introduction of the Pink Unicorn... was interesting... great
Catacomb group setup for leaving to shrine, transfer and regen and returning to original group was a major update and well thought out.
Monsters appear in a random location on the screen, this was very good, now you have to actually get involved.
Others not needed to mention.

Unsure: (possibly need to get use to it)
The attack beams coming from players and monsters... talk about mass clutter and disorienting for myself personally, and I hope I do not get a seizure too soon
Welling in catacombs... okay, I am guessing that if a person wants to well their own items without anyone else getting the drop, they have to go solo and then hunt for a Dark ?? to well the item, personally... doesn't seem right.

Game time vs gaining proficiencies to improve character a bit more.
For myself personally, I have little time to play as it is, and I was able to utilise that time evenly to MQ and gain Profs... but now, it is just MQ.
I set my goals around my profs:
1) surpass McClain on the Staff Ranking Table.
2) get back to number 3 spot on Sword ranking table if I passed to Ninja
3) catch up with Vougeot on the Focus Heal table
None of the above seems achievable now, considering the game time frame I have, is there another way to gain melee/casting/healing profs other than going into catacombs?

Well, I have to get some other incentive to play this game... what is left?
1. To get to 71 and MQ
2. To find a good item (keep or trade)
3. ?

aaaanywway, yay me. daggers and axes, one needing 90% dex and the other needing 50/50

and all my gear is +str
