i know that, but...
i have installed, and i have disks....
but when i insert disk into cpu, it wont load the disk....
also if disk is in or out of cpu, when i dbl click d2 icon to load it it will give me the d2 error msg sayin insert expansion disk
retry or cancel
and i can retry all day , but will not load... becuase it isnt reading my disk

Ahh, possibly bad disk? Does it read others? D2 can now run with no discs, but it requires you to move the MPQ files from the CD to the Diablo II installation directory. I think these can be found on the web, but you would want to get them from a trusted source. (D2Music.MPQ, D2EXP.MPQ, D2Video.MPQ, etc need to be copied over)



Also, the method I posted will not ask for CD's once you are done, so if all else fails, uninstall and follow the steps I gave you. It will work, I have done it before once myself when I misplaced my CD.

Yeah to be honest it was one of those "meh" moments. I knew key 2 would let me down AGAIN, but I had to try, no real sense changing my order since (I thought) random numbers sooner or later will let me pass (maybe)
