so.. umm.. wow.
I attended a funeral and celebration of life today for a man that was such a huge presence in my life for a long time. If that wasn't hard enough, the neighbour had a stroke at the party we had at his home. Response time is supposed to be no more than 8 min. 37 min later the ambulance rolled up, no sirens on, and but "its ok they called to check on her" ... wow.... as I drove home tonight I can hear Skeezer in my head with a "3rd world country" remark....
in germany we have different response times.. depending on the population density.. here where i live we dont have to w8 longer than 10mins after the call until anyone arrives. mostly just 5mins or something.. well a stroke can always be a critical situation.. it is also important that you get quick to a "stroke unit" at hospital within the next 6 hours or so.. or not only the area directly at the stroke but also around will die. i hope everything is getting well again
