First time I've had someone just ditch out like that.
99% of the guys are mature enough not to do it, but rather quit or leave in a reasonable way.
I got enough stuff to do during my days, that I can't be standing there holding peoples hands to make sure they are doing their jobs.
I can only direct them and let them know what needs to be done during the shift, and hope that they get it done. Regular checks are done throughout the shifts to make sure people are on track.
