it would be my guess that the % of magic vs. physical dmg while solo is 80/20 in favor of physical i highly doubt it is 50/50 as to why even after the update my assumption would be a ee plate would be the best idea for soloing at the most reasonable cost

yeah I know it's not 50/50
it is more like 80%melée/20%caster like you said
but aren't plates exspensive for a good one?

probably = to a str plate or a lil more but still less then a scale and if your only looking to solo with it i think it's be your best investment. post a thread in the ls section see what others think, this is just my opinion i really have no idea whats best, or look for a ee/ str plate with a lil lower str then you were gonna get. personally i wouldn't buy a str plate to solo if any thing spend the extra get a str scale at least that would be more usefull in catas as well

ok in am trying to make it easier to solo since I want together higher sword prof so hopefully will get a few more opinions in my thread

Reason I didn't want a str scale is lower defense than plate for solo

Ok so I agree with the opinions in that thread about getting a dex armor
but inthink i would then need to use dex charms untill mq when i would then switch to str charm
if I used str charm at low lvls my str would be high but dex really low untill lvl 55 where it would then even out

well str charms at lower lvls to say lvl 30 are important any way dex is not as important till then and use dex charms to 55 maybe then back to a mq str charm

For swords I honestly believe that str is good from lvls 1-30. Once u hit 30 u should go dex till mq.

Dexterity: Increases your chance to critical hit, and damage dealt when you critical hit. It also reduces damage when enemies critical hit you. The effects are subject to a diminishing return formula.

That, without a doubt, is the best choice.

but if I'm using a dex armor I wouldn't want a dex charm at mq

with dex armor this would prly be my charm set up

1-30----str charm
30-55----dex charm
55+----str charm

stats with a 45 dex lvl 55 armor at lvl 65
pally as example char

str---134
dex--115

Keep an eye out for a 45+ dex armor
the higher the dex the better
will take less dex if it has melée mods
