Yeah same here, played d2 from the very beginning also without registering somewhere because i never heard of anything...I was such a noob!!!

I used to play offline in single player only at first because we didnt have any internet or just a very slow connection later.
So i was kind of disconnected from any public stuff like other players, forums, guides and such but just made my own thoughts and still had so much fun.

Looking back on it the skill distribution was sooo wrong. I played bow amazon or sorc most of the time
and usually tried to put something in everything because i enjoyed the look of it. Never read or knew of any guides ofc

Loved to go through the first acts and just pick up + sell everything that dropped or listen to the NPCs and watch the videos.
Think i never managed to play in nightmare in the early times!

When i played online for the first time it was all so different with other players. Didnt know the technical terms or gaming language at all.
I remember when someone gave me some common unique items after we played together for a while
and i was like "what ohhh my goodness this is so amazing!!!" because i thought it was the best stuff ever

Makes me smile a lot to look back on it today and how the knowledge improved slowly and i ended up here finally.
Everyone makes some errors and such at the beginning, but its a process of developing and with good friends by the side this is a unique experience.

The chain of fires goes on till the Golden Halls in Edoras where Marie gets the message and prepares her horses for the journey to succor in the big battle.

haha Malte when I started playing D2, it was single player only, and when I gave a try to multi player, I had no idea what runes were for and all...
Some kid was even trading me some unique and set items, that I thought were GODLY, for all my runes I was finding
I was so amazed when I learned what a grush was!!!
And I met some great friends to run baal with!!
Then I was given my first 1 bo cta...
I didn't want to take it... it was soooo godly!!
I couldn't take something like that with nothing in return!!!
This was all with the same group Shane was hanging with...
Ah, long time memories...

I miss that old group so much!!!

Hahaha yes, looks like we are d2 noob clones!!!!

I used to play it single player only for like 2 years or more until a friend from school helped me to get started online.
It was soo different and because of the limited connection half an hour or an hour was the highest for me to play per day.

This brings back a lot of memories. I was the very same with runes or gems...
And i collected ALL of them because i couldnt separate the worth of them or knew what to do with them.
I must have picked up so many el or eld runs in big happiness
And so many useless set or unique items. But hey, the were colored different so lets pick them up!!

Its so much fun to fill and empty our vaults. The fee really pays out for all that traffic we have in there.

I'd also like to encourage our other slashers and future slashers to invest into a vault, the guild transfer is already paid.
It helps a lot to transfer items to each other to slash with or to pass around white items to well and glyphs to use.
And in the end, everyone will profit from it and slash faster
