If it still worked at 7% mana then it would REALLY have any penalty, would it?

It should have the same penalty in the catacombs then. I guess I just don't understand updates that favor one area over the others (I know the update was awhile back, but I just started using charms so I never cared, hah). Meh - I just was surprised when I noticed that it wasn't working like I thought it should.

looked at ur characters u have mainly dex charms so u need str atrmos and u can only wear robes this is the part thats gonna piss u off but there are many threads in the trade forums where u can get them, sent u a pm if u need further help just pm me it would b good to have more ppl climb as monk here with me that makes 3 i believe.

yeah i forgot to tell u if u solo its all the more harder u need a party unless u have good regen gear stick to climbing as a fighter ro pally ur proficency is making ur axes way better and u won't need more ee cause u obtain it from bonus points so ur high lvl axes are all over 100% EE.

edit #2 lol to make things simple for u this is what to do since u have daggers and u have dex charms find 2 robes this is all u need cause this is all i used as well i had a total of 16 items to do monk just 16 included weaps/armor/charms. start off robe 15 dex tier 3 robe real easy to find u can buy one maybe 35-50 fg and a perfect lvl 15 robe that would be 30 dex thats it for ur robe needs if u can find a dex charm at lvl 15 for the same amount of dex u are straight for the whole entire game cause thats 120 dex on ur monk at lvl 15 thats all u need. add all ur points into str and ur set to do monk. daggers how ever many u have XX/ armors 15 dex woolen robe or as close to it as possible, lvl 15 silk robe 30 dex thats it 2 armors/ 2 charms or really 1 just a low level 30 dex charm. armors 2+ daggers maybe 5 to 9 + charms maybe 3 total max of items to do monk = 10-16 atm that should make it real simple for u.
